HobbyKing Warranty

I just received a 155$ Hobbyking order. In the order there is a $2.69 9g servo that is defective. They want me to ship it back to them for inspection. It will cost more than it is worth to return it. The funniest thing is in the order, I had ordered the Hobbyking servo tester !!!
Has anyone else had issues like this with them before ?

Yup plenty of times , but mostly not defective items ... but with their shipping & way of dealing


for example

You buy 4 lipos in stock , you pay , you expect to have it shipped at least within a week..... and receive them maybe max 3 weeks after that or 2 weeks

Wrong sometimes stuff fall back order & stay in stock for ages

so your waiting there 2 -3 weeks expecting your batteries.......
no sign of anything , you contact them

1 week later you get a response lol (some chinese 10 yr old kid learning english i guess , in between a pair of false nike shoe he has time to reply)

and they inform you that your batteries aren't shipped.... they were out of stock

so your asking for a refund right? they inform you that would take a other 7 working days to be acheived

thats a full month just there of lending them money.....technically


so imagine like i said before on this website
if they do that X1 million customers & withdraw all that money in a high interest bank account???

Thats one fishy way i saw they try to pull on many people aswell..

but normally i haven't got 1 single broken item yet (KNOCK ON WOOD)
I have had lipos that said 40C & had punch of 20C but this is what you pay for

for a servo i wouldn't even bother buy a more expensive one from a hobby store at least THERE YOU WILL have SUPPORT & WARRANTY on the spot

Thanks, you got a good point there. I have never had any problems before..... but was not at all impressed by their customer service.

That's why I get my stuff from hobbypartz, Wich I guess is a Sub-Division of Hobbyking,

My friend and I made a few orders there, we bought patrs that was shown "in stock" And each time we did that, 3 for me and my friend over 10 times, Once we've clicked checkout, 10 day later it's at our doors. (with the 10$ flat rate shipping!!!) So for now on and until it stays the same i'll be buyin stuff there. Never came back to HK again
