Water proof your hardcase lipo's
What you will need : Exacto knife, Balloons, Zip ties, and Clear hockey tape.
Tape the outer edge of entire battery ( The seem of the 2 plastic halves ) with one long strip of hockey tape starting where the wires come out and ending where the wires come out.
Cut the bottom out of the balloon, pass the wires through the balloon neck, stretch it over the battery. Apply hockey tape to ensure a seal. You can also stick velcro on back of hockey tape if that is how you mount it in your boat. Apply zip ties on the neck of the balloon. If you are really worried you can put one zip tie at the base of the neck then fill neck of balloon with silicone then apply second zip tie. I have tried putting the entire battery in the balloon, but it always ends up ripping because it is to tight of a fit.

I had thought of using plastic dip, but the batteries are already super tight in my stampede VXL. I also had read somewhere that plastic dip does not adhere to silicone wires that well. ( not sure how true that may be ). My other worry was if they would be able to dissipate heat as well with an extra full coating. Has anyone here tried the plastic dip yet? I might give it a try as well. I have also added a silica gel pack to the neck of the balloons before the zip ties to draw any humidity out of the packs.
