gearing suggestions for st poly carpe

I am looking for suggestions for gearing
2wd buggy 13.5 motor
2 wd sc truck 17.5 motor
4 wd sc truck mamba moster monter

et ton mamba monster, c'est max 2s maintenant, alors ca va te prendre un TRES gros pinion, is it a 2600kv?

sc10 i ran 23 with a 13.5 so i would expect at least 25, do you run with boost on your ESC?
sc10 4x4 i don't know sorry. but i'm surprise that you can fit a mamba monster in it

Is the 17.5 turn motor in your SC10 2wd you are referring to the Reedy 3300 KV that come stock with the SC10RS RTR kit? On a larger outdoor track I found that the stock gearing (18 tooth pinion/ 87 tooth spur ) on this motor was way too slow. But for this tighter track at Circuit JC, that gearing should be not oo bad. Maybe up one tooth, but more than that might give you high temps on this motor.

but the 3300kv is not close to a 17.5t

a 17.5t is usually between 2200 to 2500kv

To be honest, I'm not sure WHAT turns rating the Reedy 3300 kv is. I had researched it on this thread: http://www.rcshortcourse.com/forum/team-associated-sc10/26784-just-how-fast-good-reedy-3300kv.html.

Some people are saying that it IS a 17 Turn... I've also read a few forum threads elsewheere saying there is no clear link between KV and turns... That's why I offer motor-specific advice on this particular motor in case that is the motor that the OP IS running.

If it's not this particualr motor, please disregard my post since my opinion is not applicable to other motors.

So I changed to a 13.5 now.
